Folk, Country and Blues for a warmer September

This week there is something for everyone on the Fox. Old school blues for the Chicago vibe nostalgics with Liz Mandeville, musician, vamp and Artist of the Week. The Blues lady has taken The Fox Questionnaire and told us about her upcoming album recorded with some serious blues legends including late Willie “Big Eyes” Smith who said goodye to us all just last week.

For those in search of something different but always full of electricity there’s our Album of the Week. A direct import from New Zealand; Arrows by The Eastern is both soothing and greatly entertaining. Country music, rock, passion and sharp lyrics are the main ingredients of this really convincing album.

Monday Don’t Mean Anything…But Good News

Good News indeed! First, let us introduce you to this Week’s featured band, the great, the fucked up and adored Alabama 3 (yep, the guys who did The Sopranos’ opening track. But not only).

Our album of the week is a groovy and delicious release by the great soulman John Bigham better known as The Soul Of John Black. “Good Thang“, his second album on Yellow Dog Records is a summer must have for any soul, modern jazz and funk lover because Good Thang is all that and much more.
